Qualcomm would get royalties from the end user on CDMA chips sold by TI.

I guess if Irwin can live with this arrangement so can I, but this is definitely a concession on behalf of Qualcomm. TI just got a royalty free x-licensing deal that I certainly didn't think they would ever get. The positive side is that it must be a certainty that Q and NOK have resolved their differences.
Nokia now has the same deal that Motorola has. The only difference is that Nokia's chip group is TI where MOT's is an internal division.
