I wonder if LT INTC investors enjoyed buying INTC in the 50's and 60's based upon Barrett's continual "strong demand" comments, prior to INTC's plunge.

I am a LT Intel investor. I have INTC in a dividend reinvestment plan (DRIP). I have been steadily buying a little each month, including some shares in the 60s and 70s earlier this year. So it looks like my December purchase will be in the 30s. That's okay - more shares for my money. Five years from now people who bought at these levels should be well rewarded. JMHO
