The South Has Not Changed

Like a Jew roaming around Germany today, blacks in America have noticed that racism
is on the rise -- along with the torture, burning and victimizing of minorities. In America,
being a sort-of racist has almost become chic at certain well-concealed dinners -- so
chic, as a matter of fact, that one wonders what these fascist Republicans say to each
other in private.

Just this month alone, the Senate Majority leader publicly called for the First Lady to be
killed on her way to Washington to take her Senate seat, and has told the President to
bring a bodyguard with him if he wants to visit the Carolinas.

Where is the power base of the Republican Party today?

It certainly is not in the underpopulated Midwest whose voters are few and electoral votes
even sparer. No, the Republican Party has now become the Administrator of the of
South, the new Confederate Generals who know, all too well, that the Bush Family and
George W. in particular are their born leaders: Connecticut Yankees morphed into the
new cotton plantation slave owners -- surely a ticket to the White House!

In the New South, or what I call the Fourth Reich (which does not include most of Florida,
by the way), Gore is simply Clinton in new and boring clothes. He is too honest, too
openly wooden, too shy, too kissy, too everything. But most importantly he is too
concerned about what many with southern political palettes call "kikes, niggers and
spicks."

The New South, led less recently by Newt “Whoremaster” Gingrich and still by the prissy
neurotic Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (who irons his shirts AFTER they come back
from the laundry IN HIS OFFICE), loathes Gore for being a loyal Vice President.

As Salon pointed out this morning, the GOP was handing out calendars in 1993 called
“365 Reasons to HATE Bill Clinton,” and I have seen several RNC offices boast rifle
targets with Bill and Hillary Clinton’s faces printed on the bull's eye.

After Gingrich’s multiple failures to thwart Clinton, the RNC and the party's right wing
corporate boosters invented Ken Starr, a runt among the higher-tier legal eagles in
suburban Washington, available for hire even to lowest of the low. They jumped on
Monica Lewinsky following a six-year sexual ride toward appointing anyone, anyone they
chose, to lead the New South to victory.

Trent Lott, whom I saw on the tube comically strolling around the truly seedy-looking
“Bush Ranch” --ostensibly and poetically dubbed the new ‘Southern White House’ -- was
wearing a 50-gallon hat with a what appeared to be a two-foot-long turkey feather sticking
in the hat band, and had his lips permanently fastened to the do-nothing Governor’s
derrier.

Why did you post that article again? I have already shown that it is full of skewed statistics and faulty logic.

UUUD,

Seems like some people can make economics as simple, of as complicated, as they want to. A percentage cut in taxes stimulates investment, and expansion, which creates more income which can be taxed. Is that so hard for Dems to understand??
