Some Constitutional authorities say the Legislature need not act, the Bush electors are secure.

They say that the Secretary of State has certified and the Governor signed and sent the results to DC to be recorded. The FL "Supreme" Court cannot compel either to decertify the Bush electors no matter what happens.

If the FL "Supreme" Court chooses its own electors and sends them to DC, Congress decides who votes. If they cannot do so or the bodies choose different sets of electors then the Governor decides which set of electors are valid.

Bush wins.

But I agree, it may be best to cover all bases and have the Legislature act to make sure AlGore the Loser cannot sneak into office.
