....agreed, to a point. It seems that rural Ontarians are similar to Westerners in that they are more attentive to, shall we say, "more personal issues" that affect them, like gun control (read citizen control) or term limits. Unfortunately, they seem to be a minority as they are unable to put any of "the good guys" into the legislature.

Unfortunately 'rural' Ontario didn't vote Alliance overwhelmingly either. I think there is a lot more 'political correctness' in rural Ontario than we are wont to believe.
Actually my Scarborough riding (Westhill) was expected to be a strong showing for Alliance and possible upset of the incumbent Liberal... alas..
