Chad

Since it costs a lot to win
And even more to loose
You and me better spend some time
Recounting all those votes.

Goes to show you don't ever know
Watch them old folks
Watch them good
Count until that chad falls out
Don't you count that dimpled chad

They been countin there abouts
For one good solid month
If they told you all that went down
It would burn off both your ears

It goes to show you don't ever know
Watch each ballot you count
Count them slow
Count until that chad falls out
Don't you count that dimpled chad

Since they handled the ballots so much
And dropped a couple more chads
I hate to think it's an accuratwe count
No matter what they do.

Goes to show you don't ever know
Watch each vote you count
Count them slow
Don't you count that dimpled chad
Don't you count that dimpled chad,no
Don't you count that dimpled chad

Thanks for posting that, arno.
I had heard about it but hadn't read it.

What do I think?
I think that attorneys should be honorable.
I think that a person's reputation for being honorable
is more important than winning.
I still believe in truth and justice.

That having been said, here is the reality of
state bar investigations:

Unfortunately, the little guys are usually the
ones caught in the nets. People who fail to return
calls to clients who are probably difficult and/or who
fail to account for a $1000 retainer.

The high profile types like Boies are often given
greater latitude. They also have more money for
their defense.

Here, the practical question is probably whether
the Florida Supreme Court itself felt that it
was mislead by Boies and therefore embarrassed.
If I were on the Court, and uncritically accepted his
representations, I would surely feel mis-used.

Ultimately, the state Supreme Court will rule on
any discipline imposed.

I just can't say whether that complaint will go
anywhere. The whole thing is so political, after
all.

I guess this is a long-winded way of saying
heck if I know<g>
