New Bubble Hutch it is going to be an interesting one. My gut feel is cables pulleys whatever to have a soft landing, you can't create need nor dictate the direction of the economy and by pass natural sequence. It catches up with you. Forced growht is difficult to maintain and not enduring natural growth is demand and contraction without artificial stimulus.

<Grenspan just issued a BUY signal for NAS and Dow.>

He seems to think that he is in the process of engineering a soft landing. We will have to wait and see about that?

I think these markets were just looking for any excuse to rally. Talk is cheap. Greenspan needs to do a lot of easing moving forward.

Here is the link to Greenspan's speech:

federalreserve.gov

I think many here (not you) need to read this closely to understand how the Fed chairman looks at the world of finance, economics, and markets. Many have no idea what the role and function of a Fed Chairman is. Instead they cry manipulation.

Some may find it strange that Greenspan looks upon the crisis in the Summer/early Fall of 98 as being much more serious than today. This is because they are looking at their tech portfolio. Actually, there is nothing strange in Greenspan's assessment at all if you understand where he is coming from and what the primary function of a Fed Chairman is.

PS I took profits on HGMCY this morning. Will buy that one back too.

Looks like that buy signal from Greenspan was for suckers only. This is not 1998.
