For that matter, most democrats aren't knowledgeable at all in real matters. They are great pontificators of theory that doesn't work in real world situations. As we continue down the road of dismal education of our young citizens, that knowledge base will further deteriorate until we become a second tier nation, I'm afraid you're right. The evidence is simple and overwhelming. If you look at 2 issues the Dems claim as their own, education and fighting poverty, there is no question todays publicly educated kids are growing up dumber and the poor are getting poorer. It's not rocket science.
