Elmer, On a state level, some states elect their SC Justices (in the case of Florida there's an oximoron for you!). California had a group of 3 Justices headed by Rose Bird years ago who just couldn't find a murderer they didn't like. Thanks for the clarification. I do recall Rose Bird. I think (I am not sure) that Florida doesn't have a direct election of judges. If they can't be removed by the voters, I guess there has to be some impeachment procedure in place. Joe
