Reagan was, and I mean this, suffering from the early effects of Alzheimer's during his presidency. I will never forget the day he was testing a microphone and instead of the traditional one-two-three, said that bombs were in the air en route to Russia. HarDeeHarHarrrrrr? Talk about a freudian blunder. His trigger finger was itching. He wanted to be a cowboy hero.

Right now I'm pissed at Clinton. If he had kept his pecker in his pants and not become an such an easy target for low jokes, even an object of ridicule, obfuscating all the good of the past eight years, the election would never have been this close.

Personally, I could care less if Bill porked every adoring intern groupie with a case of hero worship that toured the White House. BUT, amongst the responsibilities with which we entrusted him, besides minding the store, was to maintain "moral credibility" as they the right wing choose to define it. He was supposed to keep his nose clean, and if that meant keeping his pole dry, he should have kept kept the one eyed trouser snake all zipped up.

I feel let down by Clinton. Come campaign time, he had no credibility to support Gore. Gore was stuck trying to shuck association with his randy superior, even as he needed to claim credit for positives. This is Clinton's fault. I'm glad he has shut the f*** up during this mess.

Yeah, I wasn't fond of Tipper either during those days, but an interesting thing happened: Frank Zappa contacted her and was against her music thing. Over time they became friends, developed a respect for each other. After he died, Tipper contacted his widow. Now they're friends and I believe the widow has helped to raise funds for the Democratic Party.

Interesting, huh?
