I think he should pardon him... hear me out on this hypotheical ...

GWB grants a pardon after indicted and before a trial.

He uses the words of Sen. Robert Byrd (D): "Everybody knows he is guilty"

"But we must heal the divide in our nation" (so says GW in my hypothetical)

Then, he is indicted for all time, and Slick has no opportunity to go before an OJ Jury and get aquited.
