Endwave expects steeper-than-forecast Q4 loss

Rob -

I wonder if this report on ENWV has anything to do with it...

Endwave expects steeper-than-forecast Q4 loss

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Dec. 4 (Reuters)- Endwave Corp. (NasdaqNM:ENWV - news), a maker of high-speed radio frequency products used in broadband wireless systems, warned on Tuesday that it expects to report a steeper-than-forecast loss in the fourth quarter due to slower-than-expected customer demand.

Endwave said it expects to report a pro-forma net loss of 28 cents a share, compared with a consensus estimate from Wall Street analysts, as compiled by First Call/Thomson Financial, for a 25-cent-per-share loss.

Endwave said it expects fourth-quarter revenues of $13 million and $65 million in 2001.

The company attributed the lower-than-previously-forecast revenues to weaker demand from customers selling point-to-multipoint systems in the United States.

Endwave also said its fourth-quarter shipments have been constrained by delayed receipt of customer-furnished materials.
