Andrew Corporation Builds First MMDS Broadband Wireless Internet System in Lima/Callao, Peru ORLAND PARK, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 5, 2000--Andrew Corporation (NASDAQ:ANDW), a billion dollar manufacturer of broadband wireless products and turnkey communications systems, announced today that it has completed construction of the first broadband wireless network in South America. The new network brings the first high-speed, wireless data and Internet connections to Lima and Callao, Peru, a 2,300 square mile region with a population of over six million people. The South American network is the first to be built by Andrew for World Wide Wireless Communications (OTC BB: WLGS), which signed a potential $50 million systems integrator agreement with Andrew in March 2000. As in most of North America and other countries around the world, businesses and individuals in South America crave high-speed access to data networks and the Internet. Unfortunately, it may take communications companies years to deploy or upgrade the wired infrastructure in these countries to support wired broadband technologies such as Digital Subscriber Lines (DSL) or cable modems. Broadband wireless networks simply require that an antenna transmit site be built on a tall building or hill, so customers with proper customer premises equipment can receive high-speed data transmissions from up to 35 miles away. Since the signal travels through the air on protected frequencies, there is no waiting for crews to dig up the streets to install wired infrastructure. For customers who want high-speed data/Internet connections today, signing up for broadband wireless service is the quickest solution available in the Lima and Callao areas. The best news for customers, however, is the hundreds of dollars (U.S.) per month they can save over similar, but more costly, wired connections, such as an E1 circuit. Reminders for myself the short version and I've actually been remembering some of them lately. Market order?? It just ain't in my vocabulary. Unless you enjoyed getting hosed. Control greed, learn discipline, set reasonable targets, and stick to them. Ya right, if it breaks xxx it's gone, sure Jim, sure... RRR Reduce risk/reward at the first opportunity, protect your original investment. A profitable trade, is a good trade. Get out, when you CAN, not when you HAVE to. When you have what you want, take it and run, and don't look back. Don't wait, for the market to take it back. NEVER let a winner, turn into a loser. But we all do, why? Think about it, one answer, always....GREED! NOBODY wins all the time. Learn to take your losses, EARLY, don't let them grow, until it's too late. A big gap up, in the morning, is a gift, ACCEPT ALL GIFTS. Sell into strength. Then buy it back on later, on a shake or walkdown. MM's biggest trick - making stocks look their best, before they make them move.... in the opposite direction. Over time, there is only one thing that always works, and that is, dance with what the market likes and make sure you are dancing close to the door. Volume precedes price.
