I guess by core issue, I meant localized to just your prior post. That may be clear as mud, but I don't know another way to say it.

The argument that ought to be made, imho, is that morality is the basis from which the concepts of personal responsibility and constitutional rights emerge.

I may not be clear on what you are saying, but IMO, morality, once more clearly defined, seems to have become shifting sand for many.

From MY moral perspective I can see this as just another attack by the enemy. As a christian, you know who I perceive that to be. I cannot make someone want to not go out for a long night of getting it, as you say.

Let me ask you. What would you teach a daughter? On the one hand teach morality, abstinence, purity(I know a prude word) and on the other hand be passing out rubbers, RU486 pills, and pamphlets to the local abortion clinic?

That, IMO ,is no different than giving a 15-16 year old boy a new Viper, a full tank of gas, and dropping the keys into hands saying, "Now son, don't speed." , and then be shocked that the police call and tell you that the boy was killed in a high speed car crash.
