Steve -

...In addition, while the CC was quite positive, management's guidance was restrained, offering 30% topline growth next year, below earlier forecasts. ...

This is not in line with my recollection, which was that the 30% year over year revenue guidance for FY2002 was entirely consistent with previous guidance. You have assumed the burden of proof of producing a prior higher guidance.

Regards, Don

Yes, there are grounds for uncertainty here. WIND's 30% projection is conservative unless the whole economy falls apart. I think it is an open question what will happen next year. WIND did well last quarter, but their design wins may not be the best leading indicator. Run time royalties would be a good indicator. Did we get a break down between the two? I'm can't remember.

Still, the good news is that for all of today's churning, there were as many buyers as sellers until the close when the (short) sellers called it a day and bought in about 150,000 shares. I still am of the impression that WIND is a short seller's playground, possibly something to do with bond arbitraging, and that's the main problem with the stock.
