PW,

P.P.S. Truth be known, I'm trying to lose weight.

Truth be known, aren't we all.

I am around 5'9" and at one time was over 200 lbs.

When I graduated from high school I weighed around 160.

Now I am around 165, but the weight has redistributed.

I need to lose about ten more pounds.

I need to exercise, but the only exercise I really enjoy is sex. My wife tires of that exercise much too quickly.

My only vice is BlackJack, which is mostly sugar.

My Dad, bless his soul, gave up smoking and drinking. He said he would never be too old to give up sex. He said his only vice was coffee. He drank that until he died.

I don't drink coffee.

I prefer BlackJack.

Have fun,
Phil

TAX CHEAT ...

I was picking up a few groceries this morning, well, almost noon, when I cut through the deli department. I've been starving since my diet began, and at noon, was particularly hungry, when I passed the chicken barbeque machine. These things looked so good, and I was so hungry, and my will power so weakened, I stopped for a closer look.

In my area, meals are taxed, but food isn't. With these chickens, if they're hot, they're meals, and taxed, but if they've been allowed to cool, they're food, and thus, tax exempt. I considered buying a cool chicken, and taking it home, heating it, and eating it. But isn't this circumventing my obligation to pay the tax? I decided I'd not risk the consequences and opted for re-heating some left-over spaghetti I had for lunch yesterday.

I want to make it clear that if anyone sees my kitchen blinds closed around noon, it's because the sun will bleach my table-cloth, and not because I'm re-heating a tax-free, cold, barbequed chicken.

Cheers, PW.
