Broadcast Editor Dan Gruber talks to Art Hogan, chief market analyst at Jefferies & Co., about the market and stocks he likes.

β€œI think the fact that we clearly see the end is near in the presidential election was the first leg-up in this rally, and the second leg was Alan Greenspan speaking to a conference of bankers in New York. In a very un-Alan Greenspan way, pointed to the fact that perhaps on December 19th, the Fed could shift their bias to neutral at the very least. The market has really been waiting for that kind of news as a catalyst to make a rally like today,” explains Hogan.

β€œIn the telecom space we like Nokia and Ericsson. In the DSL space, we like GlobeSpan , and in the technology space, we are still big fans of Yahoo, America Online and Intel. I think on a fundamental basis, a lot of those stocks are way oversold. I think we will see solid revenue and earnings growth.”

Nokia (NOK)
Ericsson (ERICY)
GlobeSpan (GSPN)
Yahoo (YHOO)
America Online (AOL)
Intel (INTC)
