We all believe things that we can not claim are in the category of "known facts." It's fine, dude.

If I have a choice between someone who doesn't know but claims they do and someone who doesn't know and says so, I take the latter hands down.

I had a very expensive consultant come in one time and he was embarrassed that he didn't know the answer to the question I asked (a complicated one about router/switch configurations). I said, "Hey, look. I have no problem knowing that this is a tough question that you don't have the answer to. I would have a problem with you telling me something with certainty that I later find out to be false." There was a visible sign of relief on his part and we got on famously after that. This hole in his knowledge was small compared to his expertise.
