"Insider Buying" is an oxymoron. The only reason insiders with significant stakes EVER purchase shares is for the public relations value.

How anyone falls for it is beyond me. Insider X owns 10 million options at 1 cent apiece, and then buys 500 shares on the open market at 20 bucks and suddenly there is a press release stating how it has reaffirmed faith in the company.

None of this would happen if the population of investors weren't so god damned stupid to begin with. PT Barnum wasn't just close to the truth, he was the truth.
