Dear Lawdog: I hadnt noticed Bush pitting anyone against anyone. In fact, his claim to fame is his ability to get along with others. That has not only been commented upon in Politics, most notably the Chairman of the Texas DEMOCRAT PARTY, but by his MANY friends going all the way back to childhood. I have never heard anyone say anything nice about Gores ability to get along with others. Merely his bulldog attitude of win at all costs. As to smarts and all, well Bush graduated from Harvard with an MBA degree. Gore flunked out of Divinity School so I am told. But, regardless SMARTS means nothing to me, what means something to me is JUDGEMENT and INTEGRITY and thats no contest in my mind. JDN
