No, I think he is saying that if you had a real stop at that point but only two were filled the rest would be filled but at another spot.

Tke October 15th, 1998 I think it was. AG came out with a rate cut about 3:12 EST in the afternoon. The SP may have been trading around 1020 and the news of the rate cut blew it up as high as perhaps 1075. In about 3 or 4 minutes.

A Stop at 1025, say, would have been lucky to have been filled at 1035. A mental stop may have got you out at 1050.

Normally though, if your stop was on a Long at 1374 and it hit you would get a fill at 1374. If there was slippage then you may have been filled at 1373.75, 1373.50, whatever. You would eventually get filled, just not necessarily at your price.
