"Speaking of double standard, it is especially aggravating -not to mention hypocritical - that Republicans successfully badgered those manually counting ballots in Palm Beach County to be 'more discerning' with regard to dimpled ballots, then they complain about 'the rules changing' along the way!! They will stoop to nothing..."

Ellen, I think all they were asking was that Palm Beach use their own standard (from 1990) of not counting dimples,etc...

(: :)

Explain to me, after two weeks of the chant "Count all the votes" , why David Biose, lead counsel for Algore, argued (In his closing) against counting the under-votes from Collier and other counties.

The truth is that despite 3 distinct opportunities to request a recount of all votes, Algore never did. Not before the canvasing boards. Not before the FL Supreme Court and not as part of a contest.

And when an intervenor in the election Contest suggested that any remedy would need to include Collier and other counties, Algore objected.

Truth and reality my dear, deal with it.

??

The dimpled ballots should probably not have been counted at all. They were disallowed in the Illinois case Boies misrepresented to the FSC. Boies used the affidavit of the lawyer involved in that case, which was later recanted, to encourage the counting of dimpled ballots.

I do agree with you that the Republicans stooped to nothing in connection with the dimpled ballots issue.
They were correct.

The more disturbing problem is the use of an inaccurate affidavit by Boies to support the counting of dimpled ballots and the more liberal interpretation of purported voter intent to be ascribed to such ballots.

That should concern you, but apparently it does not.
