I think it is turning. Perhaps overoptimistic people are just realizing that the race is not over yet. Perhaps it will get more interesting... :)

Basically, I'm afraid it is over. Looks like Gore's chances hinge on Seminole County and I don't see how it can work to his advantage. While he could get a positive ruling from the Circuit Court judge, Bush would no doubt appeal to the FL SC, who are already on record as saying that having votes counted trumps legal technicalities. I can't picture them now handing Gore a victory based on a strict reading of the law.

edit: SbH - Gee, you're tough on this thread. I think Bosco and Carl's debate has been the most civil I've come across on SI.
