That's exactly right..it is less painful to have the money missing before you get the check, but if they physically handed you the check and then made you count out the taxes one dollar at a time...many people would start dumping tea...or keeping with the six pack, beer.

Listen to a teenager when they receive their first pay check, and you hear the outrage that everyone should feel.
