Some would be doing armchair economics on Nico right now, and although it's an interesting exercise, Strathcona's involvement has moved it beyond that level. They are reviewing the resource, extraction, marketing, and logistics of Nico, and are moving the project from the scoping level towards the feasibility level. I don't believe they expect to present a feasibility document, but the level of confidence in each aspect is being improved.

I think the targeted drilling is an indication of Strathcona testing aspects of the mineralization (gold zone continuity, stripping assumptions) that they were unwilling to accept assumptions for. I suspect that next, the metallurgical assumptions will be tested and measured, and some "more than preliminary" discussions regarding power, water, and transport costs are going on. I don't know how long this will take, but it will be a very interesting document when it is delivered.
