gooch....remember our discourse on utilities..... draw a parallel with similar consolidation and realignment in the oil industry....some oil companies gave up exploration and production and focused on refining and marketing...such as sun oil, coastal, and the old texaco....compare their stock performance with those that did it all as shell, bp, etc.....you may find those who stayed on the upstream side of refining and marketing fell victim to the downstream that controlled the prices... take care ed a.
