Andreas,

no good news will help AMD's stock. It's a sad story how much money I have lost in spite of all the good news...

Anyway, since I'll not be able to post for a couple of days, here is once again the actual processor top 10 bestseller list of K&M Elektronik:

BTW: Of course, Kash is right. The data is only from ONE vendor and may not be representative for the sales in Germany. So take these numbers with some grain of salt.

1 AMD ATHLON K7 900 Thunderbird
2 AMD DURON 700
3 AMD DURON 800
4 AMD ATHLON K7 800 Thunderbird
5 AMD K6-2 500
6 INTEL PENTIUM III 800EB FCPGA 133MHz
7 AMD ATHLON K7 1000 Thunderbird
8 AMD DURON 750
9 AMD DURON 650
10 INTEL CELERON 700 FCPGA

There have been price cuts for all Athlons today, most notably for the Athlon 1000 (now around 260$).

Andreas,

re: <good KM133 news today: Official introduction from AMD and VIA in Munich>

Thanks for posting this good piece of info.

One of the things that I do to check if VIA released a chipset, or not is to check their "products" pull down menu located on the right side of their home web page: viatech.com

I checked their site yesterday, and KM133 was not listed in their products menu. Today, I'm pleasantly surprised to see KM133 listed with other products in that menu. It indicates that KM133 is now a released product!

Prosavage KM133: viatech.com

Andreas,

<However, they gave no release date...>

Until we see a press release or official word from AMD or VIA that shows availability it is difficult to tell what is going on.
