I had total confidence in Judge Sauls....have not seen enough of this one to form an opinion yet....but I do think it was a positive that she rejected a jury trial.

And of course, LOF, in your humble opion, if she sides with Bush her decision is based on law; if she goes with Gore-politics. At this point, I really don't care. Let's just keep this bull running!

Probably both. If she blatantly disregards legal precedence and issues a judgement that will be tossed on appeal, she will be screwing her own political future. I trust that she's smart enough not to fall on Al Gores sword. But, then again, who knows? In the end it won't matter, because the fact is that ultimately Gore cannot win under any circumstances. The Dems may hate this, but it's the result of the way the rules were layed out. C'est la vie....
