Well, I'm back. While I was gone, why couldn't you folks hold off that Florida Legislature from doing a dumb move.

Me thinks they're only flexing muscles. As we've seen, intimidation certainly is prime in the Bush playbook. You folks really wanna put Karl Rove in the White House? (LOL) I'd think the good side of Lee Atwater's ghost would be rolling more than Beethoven.

It might pass the Florida House, but I don't think the Florida Senate would go along. Most senators entertain dreams and schemes of holding statewide offices and certainly hold dreams and schemes and schemes of going to the U.S. Congress.

It'd be extremely hard for any of 'em to get elected when they'd begin those races with more than half of the state's population opposing 'em at the get-go.

I think the decision to open the special session is nothing more than an intimidation tactic to the Florida courts.

If the courts rule fraud was involved in the election and Gore wins as a consequence, it'd be a complete disaster and suicidal for those legislators to supplan Gore electors with Bush electors. But if the legislature does this, you might wanna stock up on canned goods--LOL!
