Dave -- KRB: I simply cannot see wanting to own a consumer credit firm in this economic environment. I'd be short a whole boatload of retail financials, except for the fact that this market keeps on running them. I'm no expert on consumer finance, but think about the huge amount of debt outstanding, the rising rate of defaults and bankruptcies, the risks of increasing unemployment -- and the fact that credit-card companies are still flooding the market with pre-approved credit-card applications. I must get three applications per week, at least!

I imagine when the market dumps them, it'll dump them hard. But when exactly is that going to be?
