Don't forget Daddy Bush's favorite quote, "Read my lips..."

Scumbria... Just a few little tongue twisters... no problem. All Presidents have their strings pulled. GW will be no different, but he'll be in good hands with good pullers!

Scumbria... I'm surprised that you haven't joined Jesse Jackson in Florida for his demonstrations? He could use your support.

Hi Scumbria; Re Bush not being a genius...

For his job, he doesn't have to be a genius. In fact, the more the guy thinks he's a genius, the more dangerous he is in that position. For what we want him, he needs to do very little. Just schmooze with the leaders of the rest of the world, every now and then preempt TV programming with dull speeches, but don't rock the boat with a lot of "brilliant" legislation.

By contrast, Al Gore wrote a book with a set of precepts that, if followed, would result in disasters for our economy, and, through secondary effects, even our environment.

If it really were a matter of the president seriously effecting the history of the country, then go ahead and worry. But all your examples are showing are bad syntax and grammar. Not a big deal. Take a good look back through your own posts, for instance. Surely you have garbled syntax at least once, and you have the advantage of being able to (1) type your comments in, editing them carefully, and (2) modifying them for 15 minutes. The president doesn't have that ability.

If Bush was a genius, the left wing would be a lot more scared than they are. (And a good portion of the right wing too, for that matter.) His daddy used English about the same way, but he was quite effective at putting together a military alliance in the Persian gulf. That's the kind of emergency that we need presidents for, they are not used as members of a high school debate team.
