Puck, nothing is "forgone" and you must look at the balance sheet of the company, their immediate cash need and and market conditions in general. I do not know what was the price of the issue when that floorless was issued, if it was around the $215, they may have hedged some already (look at the short position vs the time of issue of that debenture). In general, however, a floorless is a very bad situation.
