are you looking at a pc price war....if so, then the oft stated dell strategy of "causing great pain" would exacerbate dells problems as far as the stock is concerned....believe the increased revenues, shrinking margins will not be well received....cpq and hwp can go head to head and survive, as can dell....but who ultimately benefits....price wars to gain market share tend to result in a market that can never increase pricing

if the dell declared war is against the big boys in servers and storage it may cause dell so much pain that could be permanent....
