Your friend did not price himself out a job. Big Business greed did him in, in the name of "shareholder value." They're not moving plants from Pennsylvania and Ohio to mainland China because some union bargained for a 10 percent raise over three or four years. They're moving plants to mainland China and Central America because of what is known as semi-slave labor. There was a story in the newspaper just this week about a plant in Mongolia that was working 11-year-old kids 14 hours a day, seven days a week ... doing contract work for American companies.

Maybe you're right. Perhaps the American worker has "priced himself out of a job" because he is unwilling to work 14 hours a day, seven days a week, for a few bucks a month and one warm meal a day.
