This is precisely why I don't do that anymore. I used to think it was an invasion of my private space and reacted rudely. They didn't see it that way - Solon, you are very generous to see it THEIR way. But that really doesn't excuse it when I have a No Soliciting sign up. On a related note, talk to a pregnant woman sometime and ask her about people's violation of HER space. When my wife was preggie, little old ladies would stop her in line and fondle her mid-drift.
