Because God talks about the sinfulness of man and I believe it. The scriptures constantly show the faults of men in contrast to the Holiness of God while almost every single religious book does the opposite. Many books of the bible had to go through a rigid test in order to prove whether they were actually God inspired or not. In other words who is receiving the glory, God or Man. God said no flesh shall glory in his presence so if a book exalts men it's automatically suspect. Hence, even in Christiandom the books of the apocrypha are works of doubtful authenticity. I know it was more than one sentence but I'm sure you understand my need to expound.
