I believe it is the Gore and Democratic Party strategy to force the Florida Legislature to act in order to further undermine the legitimacy of the Bush Presidency and give the Democrats a mantra for lack of cooperation with him. Of course the Florida Supreme Court will now have to play along with this plan and be willing to tie up Florida's Electors, thus forcing the Legislature's hand. If the Fla. Sp. Ct. does that, their entire credibility will be shot and they will be long known as a "kangaroo court". I am not sure they will self destruct like that...but in this environment ANYTHING can happen.
