TLC,

I believe their actions said it better than words could. Remember that on Friday when the House first wanted to call the session that the Republican Senate Leader said no, he would not sign the bill. Today is Wednesday, 5 days later with time running out. The last ditch is here, now!!

Dear Tastes Like Chicken: They DID word it that way. They VERY CLEARLY stated that this was a safety net move to protect our Fla. Electors in the event these court matters are not resolved by 12/12. It is so obvious that Gores moves are not to win in court but to KEEP it in court so that he can maintain the election is still Contested thus electors sent up cant vote.
I live in Fla. and I TOTALLY SUPPORT the Fla. Legislatures actions as I am quite sure most of us will. We do not want that SHIT keeping our votes from counting. JDN

I'll second JDN..they did clearly say it is to be an action that, if taken, is a last ditch move in the event of ongoing court battles which would prevent a slate of electors being settled, only.

I'm sure Gore might well claim such an action as a motivating factor, but I'd say he will fight just as hard as he can with or without added incentive. Just something to rally troops against Bush, if court proceedings can take him that far. It's not as if the Fla. Legislature can pass on this just so Algor won't cry out.
