you may be right there too. like i said, my only reservation is that i can not properly judge the merits of either side's arguments at this time..in this specific case. but generally i'm very much in favor of protecting the environment, and i accept that it is up to the state to enforce the respective regulations.

let's leave the allocation of funds debate aside for now...except to say that lots of money is probably wasted, leaving worthy causes without funding in the process. but it's highly subjective what is and what isn't a worthy cause, which is why i don't want to dwell on this too much. we'd be arguing all night most likely....
