I gotta admit- Things are starting to smell real fishy. The ramp up in the financials yesterday and today sure looks like Red Herring.

Does Anyone Doubt That AG Knew That B of A Was Going To Warn When He Made His Remarks Yesterday Yesterday, many averages and stocks were on the verge of breaking down from critical support levels. Thanks to the intervention of Uncle Al they got a pre-warning boost way above those levels so now when they drop they have a few more days before breaking down from those levels. That was it. No Busch conspiracy. No election relief rally from an election that is still not totally over (OK it is over except algore doesn't know it and there still are ugly lawsuits going on). No miraculous learning how to speak clearly after a life of mumbling. AG decided that the market, the economy and probably the country needed to be saved and he decided to save it. Under the best interpretation that means we are now being ruled by a Benevolent Despot. Considering that everyone except the Financial Services Industry was hurt by the rally yesterday, the shorts who covered at a loss, as well as the longs who entered positions that they will be selling at a loss, one has to wonder though, if we are being ruled by a Benevolent Despot or just the old fashioned type of Tyrant. Also keep in mind that an economic correction postponed is an economic correction made worse.
