Very few people know Compaq's strength in Telecom. Majority of Telephone networks are managed by Compaq's TeMIP.

Most of your cellular calls in North America go thru Compaq's Home Location Register (HLR), where subscriber
profile is stored.

You heard about recent announcement w/ Ericsson's using Compaq's Alpha servers embedded in their next-gen AXE systems.

Compaq is going after the convergence of Wireline and Wireless, Computer and Telephony, Telecom and Enterprise networks. This is where Compaq's valued assets are bringing synergy that will differentiate Compaq from HWP, IBM and SUNW.

The Wireless and Internet markets are high-growth markets.
Compaq is getting a lot of attention in this space, along with other major telecom brands like Motorola, Ericsson, Cisco, Nokia.

BTW, Compaq's current stock price is trading below PE of 14 compared to next year's 1.48 earnings. CPQ is not getting the break it deserves right now.

Also, I don't hear any discussions about how CPQ is doing w/ their iPAQs Pocket PC this holiday season. Does Dell, AAPL, GTW have any iPAQ Pocket PC like products. Most of the reviews I have seen prefers Compaq's Pocket PC over HP's Jornada. There's tremendous growth area in the handhelds, and PALM is getting 'threatened'.

-Nilesh.
