I heard on CNBC today that GE has been ordered by the EPA to pay over $400mm to dredge contaminated mud from the Hudson River near Albany. You can bet GE did not volunteer to be such a good corporate citizen. I wonder how much leg work and lawyering went into the EPA finally being able to get GE to clean up the mess it had made in the river?

Nice piece lml, except for one thing, the stock got slammed when "The Street" thought Lucky Larry was dead. Go figure.
