Sales of personal computers are expected to grow nearly 20 percent this quarter despite concerns about the depressed U.S. consumer market, according to closely watched numbers released by International Data Corp. today. ....

.....IDC's report cites computer makers Compaq Computer (CPQ), Dell (DELL), Hewlett-Packard (HWP), IBM (IBM) and Toshiba as the best-positioned to take advantage of sales growth trends in emerging consumer regions, in Asia and in laptop computers.
