I don't know. Is there a way to measure desperation? We need a desperationometer. Then we need a rationalityometer- so we could conduct some really fine tests on this.

Always felt a sorrow for the plight of Christianity....

They worship a master that they are seperated
from by 2000 years...to really succede
on a spiritual path you must have a living master to teach and guide you everyday...

But alas there are no real living masters or living Saints in Christianity that i can see. I have often been intrigued by what Jesus meant when he supposedly said :

"there will be those that come after me that will do greater deeds than i have done"

There are living masters in India and in Asia now as we
speak...humans that have achieved so much thru arduous practise and spiritual discipline , that impart this directly to ardent and loving students . In India , for instance , everyday is a holy day and people see god routinely in many daily experiences. They are receptive to this , and it is in their belief , that God is everywhere about.

It's sad to see that the main thrust of
Christian missionary prosyletising in India and other poorer countrys
( with the rare exception of Mother Teresa)
takes more often than not , the form of promising material benefits and you will make more money if you believe in Jesus .

It is becoming almost a matter for legislation
for Indians now , to prevent this kind of abuse of preaching to convert their poor. Many Christian missionaries are becoming "unwelcome" guests finally in that land, and are forcing this kind of extremely serious parlimentary action to ban them.

But you should see the kinds of Cable TV preachers that are there...all in there white suits and pained expressions and outstretched hands and black book in hand.

It's really sad... to what lengths these "well meaning " (use the term loosely)
missionaries will go to try and convert...
