Hector may be right that QCOM is at $100 3 years hence. The only queestion I have is how many splits will take place between now and then. If QCOM is $100 3 years from now with 3 splits, we'll be looking at an unadjusted stock price of $800.

If your not long on the stock, what's your fascination with this thread

I didn't realize I needed to justify my prescence, nor did I realize I needed your permission.

I am not currently long QCOM. I went long at a shade under $60, and sold nowhere near the top. I think my average out price was around $80. I'm here because I don't pretend to know everything about the future and enjoy the (non-aggressive) cheerleading and banter on this thread, and I expect to go long again in the near future. Following this thread may help me set a better entry price.

Does that meet with your approval?

I'm not defending anyone. I'm not saying "negative" opinions shouldn't be politely and firmly challenged, as I would hope the negative types will challenge some of the more, ah, optimistic statements that get tossed around. Every serious investor wins that way.

What doesn't belong here are the character aspersions being thrown at individuals who did nothing worse than say "love the company, hate the price". What doesn't belong here is the "you said something mean, get out of the clubhouse" attitude you just showed me in your post.

I ask you what I asked the other "gentleman": would you be on this thread saying QCOM was a good stock to buy if it opened at $2k in the morning? Or would you sell into the lunacy, hang around shootin' the .... until it came back down to earth and you could ride it again?

Then just how different does that make us?
