You made up the stuff in that link, right?<g>

I'm still giggling.
According to those articles some reporters
are worried about Bush's DL # and other people
with the same last name in Texas.

Further, these ace reporters couldn't figure out
why Bush has the # he has or who this other guy named
Bush is.

From all of this they conclude that there is something sinister.

LOL...I think the better inferences are one of two:
they're inept reporters or there's nothing to find out.

There are privacy laws that even protect public figures.
You can't just call a DMV or similar office and get information about a person. This is for the protection of the public at large.

I think folks like Dan Rather are a legitimate area of concern. He's supposed to be main stream media.
He's more like a political hack.

Guys like Rather have to pick their poison.
If they want to be a commentator, fine.
Then make it clear it's opinion.

What I object to is opinion/bias masquerading as
fact.

That should concern you regardless of your political leanings because anyone giving commentary should
make this clear.

After all, the voters in Florida supposedly could not figure out how to vote. Do you think they're smart enough to
distinguish opinion from fact when they hear it on TV or read it in the papers?
