LOL! Let me make sure I understand. You mean that the one victory (apart from Clinton) that he could adduce is a mistake or fabrication? Creeping Clintonism, it is like the D'Amato hearings, where all of a sudden there was mass aphasia among Clinton functionaries. Does association with the Clinton Administration induce a fugue state?

Kentucky law at the time prohibited a second term, but did not prohibit a second run for office four years later. Which is what happened in the case of JYB Jr. He had been out of office for four years when he and Wally went head-to-head in the primary. I believe Happy Chandler served as governor on more than one occasion, did he not? (Between '83 and '87 Martha Layne Collins was governor, if my memory serves me correct.)
