Yet another reference to AMD using Si28 wafers, posted on December 2, 2000:

Being that I work for ASML, the company the sold/sells the Steppers/Scanners to the Austin/Dresden Fab, I know for a fact that our tools will go done to 0.10 micron CD (critical demensions)in Dresden. The only thing holding it back is the production resist technology. This limits the CD's or traces to 0.13. And having been to the AMD fab and Motorola Fab in Austin I know that they are doing great out there. They generally don't need our help unlike most other customers. We know they have Cu interconnects and it looks very much like they will have production wafers made of pure Si28, take a look at www.isonics.com specifically under their press releases. The only BS I see is P4 with DDR since they are under contractual agreement to only supply Rambust and being that Intel is trying to corner the chipset business they may not let other Chipset companies to build for the P4. I only hope so cause this would really piss them off and concentrate their efforts on AMD. So what the hell are you saying, devEcon?
