There's a vast difference between being labeled stupid and having your sanity questioned.

We've had a few stupid presidents, and survived them; an insane president would be truly scary.

P.S. What about Zoltan's point that liars are insane? Is this true? I guess from a religious fundamentalist point of view, it would be, since the liar risks eternal damnation for little Earthly gain. Putting aside religion, don't many liars do so knowingly, in the hope of gaining advantage over the gullable, or concealing an embarrassing or disadvantageous fact? Is that insanity or just bad character?
