hi tc,

the virus defs i installed last night were dated 12/4/00. i rechecked liveupdate this a.m. and found a newer batch dated 12/6/00 available.

these installed via liveupdate no prob. <g>

fwiw, my post last evening describing the SARC Intelligent Updater's cool ability to spread updates across multiple platforms should be revised. it didn't. i just visited w98se and the updates weren't there.

i just imaged w2k partition again. i now have 6 images. i'll probably begin deleting some of the middle ones as i need more room. keeping the very earliest and the most recent seems like a valid plan to me. i may want to return my os to as close to its original state as possible, and thus the oldest image would be helpful. the most recent images have obvious advantages.
